Marketing, Marketing, Marketing...

Congratulations on surviving your first week back at work, pat on the back for you! 2015 so far is shaping up to be a good one, admittedly we are only 10 days in...

 Not a long post today.

 So I am sure most of you have read my previous blog post of my goals for 2015... And this post is about another one. I really want to keep developing my marketing skills and I need your help.

 If anyone has any suggestions of marketing websites, events, courses, people to follow... anything... I want to know it! Please comment below or tweet me. Much appreciated!

A few days ago I got tagged by The Beauty Type in a 5 things post, so here goes with mine. Depending on how well we know each other & how long you've followed my blogs some of these may or may not be news to you! Come on then, let's get to know me... 1. Volunteering in my spare time... Looking after our Mental Health...

Following on from my 'Beating the January Blues' blog, I thought it was time to revisit how we all look after our mental health. For some reason this still seems to carry a stigma and be a bit of a taboo subject. All of us need to look after out own health and be aware of everyone around us too.  I asked my social media connections what they do to look after their mental health both in and out of the workplace, and here's what they said... In the workplace - Confide in someone you trust/work friend - Take the time to talk - Move away from the desk to make a cuppa or go for a walk Outside the workplace - Exercise, the main choices were running or going for a long walk - Getting outside to enjoy the fresh air - Meditation - Writing a journal For me, I focus very much on talking to my friends. Christmas is coming...

It's been a while... again! Life had got in the way and a lot has happened since my last post. I am another year older, and maybe slightly wiser; new pad for the Chick-King family which is lush and then the nightmare of Christmas seems to have taken over! Absolutely convinced that Christmas is getting earlier and earlier each year, or maybe it's just me getting older? Really need to get my act together with the Christmas shopping though... On that note, here we are in the middle of November and by now all major supermarkets, retailers and online services have put the fear of Christmas into us all by releasing their festive adverts. Personally, this is one of the highlights in the run up to Christmas, so I've put together my top reviews of some of my favourite ads so far... Number one spot definitely goes to Marks and Spencer's - I LOVE Paddington, so hands down this is a winner! If you've not seen it and not already in love with this bear, then definitely watch ...
